This short article evaluates the textual affinities of the Gospel text used by Titus of Bostra, as revealed by his quotations from the Gospel of Luke. Von Soden claimed that the Ka text family, exhibited by Codex Alexandrinus and Family Pi in the Gospels, was also attested by Titus of Bostra. This study casts doubt on that claim. The results below suggest that the Ka text family (identified as Pi-a below in Wisse's notation) is one of the textual groupings in Luke least related to the text read by Titus. The amount of data available is not great enough to prove that Titus of Bostra read a text of Luke significantly related to group 1685 or group L. All the citations of Titus of Bostra in the IGNTP Luke apparatus were examined, omitting the ADAPTed citatations, and every textual location identified where known MS groups had variant readings such that one or more groups matched Titus and one or more did not. These totalled 51 text locations in Luke. The table below displays one location in each column and one MS group in each row, marking an "x" where the two thirds of the group differ from Titus, a space where two thirds of the group agree with Titus, a "." where the group has no 2/3 majority, and a "3" where the group differs both from Titus and most of the other groups. The score on the right is the ratio of the number of matches plus one to the number of misses plus one, and it indicates a degree of agreement with Titus. The MS groups are sorted in the table in descending order of the agreement score. Following the table is the list of MS groups with the roster of MS witnesses assigned to the group by Wisse.
